Disarmagedddon: Do We Have A Choice?

“Editor: As a psychologist I realize that all religions have certain texts declared to be “sacred.” This means one cannot question the directives or prophecies in these texts. Yet when scripture seems to lead to massive death and destruction of innocent men, women and children, it seems necessary to at least discuss the possibility that an interpretation comes not from a good, loving God, but from Satan — the latter the great trickster who causes the faithful to commit horrendous sins thinking they are doing “God’s will.”
An example is where some American fundamentalist Christian groups actually help Zionist Israel expand territory by violently seizing Palestinian homes and lands. As expected, conflict and war grow ever more intense, a sign of End Times. An horrendous Palestinian genocide should help finish the job to precipitate Armageddon– while the faithful eagerly await the return of Jesus Christ to Earth. Do we dare ask what’s wrong with this picture?“
